This is an updated version of the New Adventures He-Man figure and it is a great update. I absolutely love this figure, it is a great representation of the New Adventures look but with that classic beefed up He-Man physique. He comes loaded up with extras too. He comes with two heads and two sets of armor to recreate the removable helmet and armor of the original figure. He also comes with his new shield and power sword that he can actually hold aloft thanks to his new wrist joints. This is an awesome figure and does what the Classics line does best, it takes an old figure and updates it in every way possible to make a truly awesome figure.
I never had Clamp Champ as a kid and that's probably the main reason I'm just not that excited about having him now. Don't get me wrong I am glad to have him and he is a nice figure, he just didn't floor me like the NA He-Man figure. In fact the main reason I'm so underwhelmed by him may be because he came along with the NA He-Man. He does have a great head sculpt and is a great update to the original figure, but never having that original figure I just don't have a big connection with this character.
Icer isn't the first Filmation figure we've gotten from the Classics line, but it is the first in the new Club Filmation subscription service and it's a pretty nice figure to start it off. My favorite part of this figure is definitely his paint job. They did a very nice job of giving him a frosted over ice look. I'm really liking the head sculpt on this guy too. It's a very defined blocky head sculpt that makes it look like its made out of ice. He comes with an ice spear and the Staff of Avion also. I love how Mattel is including these Filmation accessories with the Filmation figures and it is a testament to how much they put into this line. The only complaint I have about Icer is the bottom of his feet are not perfectly flat. For some reason they are a little warped on mine and it makes him difficult to stand in some poses, other than that I love the figure and can't wait to add some more Filmation figures to my collection.
